NSW Representative – Matt Burke OAM
Hi everyone! My name is Matt Burke, and I proudly serve as the Australian Peacekeeper and Peacemaker Veterans’ Association’s NSW Representative. Residing in the beautiful town of Wodonga, I have had the pleasure of leading a remarkable career in the Army for 22 years. Throughout my journey, I have been privileged to participate in various peacekeeping operations, including Op CEDILLA, which was the UN Mission For The Referendum In Western Sahara.
In addition to my military service, I have embarked on an exciting new chapter since transitioning. Over the years, I have assumed diverse roles and cherished countless experiences. Recently, I had the honour of retiring from my position as the CEO of the Albury Wodonga Health Service Board. Prior to that, I had the privilege of chairing and vice-chairing several boards, such as Kirinari Community Services Limited, NE Sport Assembly, Rotary District 9790 Conference 2006, Australian Peacekeepers and Peacemakers Veterans Association Victorian Branch (where I served as chair for a decade). Moreover, I proudly held the position of Vice Chair for the Australian Peacekeeping Memorial Project for five rewarding years.
On a personal note, I am an avid Rotarian and had the pleasure of serving as the past President of the Rotary Club of Albury. It fills me with immense pride to have received the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship with Sapphire.
As one of the State Peacekeeper representatives, I traverse across the entire state, ensuring assistance can reach you swiftly whenever needed.
