As part of Veterans’ Health Week, APPVA hosted two engaging treasure hunt activities that brought veterans together for connection, camaraderie, and a bit of friendly competition.
In Devonport, around 25 veterans gathered at the beautiful Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park for a Veterans’ Treasure Hunt set against clear skies and perfect weather. Over the course of two and a half hours, participants explored five different stages around Aikenhead Point, working their way through the course with enthusiasm and teamwork.
The activity was supported by two fantastic Exercise Physiologists from REVIVE, who helped ensure the event promoted both wellbeing and physical activity while participants enjoyed the stunning surroundings.
Meanwhile, at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, APPVA members and visitors came together for another memorable afternoon of treasure hunting. The event was filled with fun and camaraderie, with a range of Peacekeeper and War Memorial–related prizes up for grabs. It was a wonderful opportunity for veterans and supporters to connect while exploring one of Australia’s most significant commemorative sites.
APPVA sincerely thanks our member the
Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs for their sponsorship.
Both activities highlighted the spirit of Veterans’ Health Week by encouraging connection, activity, and community—supporting the wellbeing of veterans while creating enjoyable shared experiences.
