Transparency instils trust and one of the most common areas the veteran community has little trust in is the actual claims information. How many claims are being processed and how long does it take?
We’ve been working with DVA for the past three months on publishing claims information as a link from the front page of the DVA website and it is about to happen. We are pleased to say that from the Secretary DVA down mutual cooperation has been exceptional.
Our small focus group of veteran partners, parents of veterans and two people from the medical community all indicated one preference for when they enter the claims infoirmation area and before it gets to the details.
We have hit a snag however and need veteran community help in a two-question survey because DVA and the Association differs a little on what should be presented initially.
What are your thoughts and please place yourself back at the time when you were first learning about the various acts and how long claims will take? Please note that the figures below are entirely fictional.
