FOR THOSE WHO SERVED ON OPERATIONS AFTER 1975
6 Apr 2008
An Australian National memorial is to be built on ANZAC Parade in Canberra to recognise the sacrifices and contributions of Australian Peacekeepers on over 60 missions over the last 60 years. We anticipate the memorial being opened by 14th September 2009. Details on the Project vision, purpose, structure and progress are outlined on the APMP website at;
The Memorial is strongly supported by the Chiefs of the Australian Defence Force, Commissioners of the Australian Federal, State and Territory Police, Peacekeeping veteran organisations and members of the Australian public.
We invite all veterans of ADF and AFP peace operations and UN peacekeeping missions to become members of the APMP. Support your mates and all Peacekeepers.
