International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers to be celebrated on Saturday 28 May 2016 in Brisbane


Calling all members of APPVA QLD to join our close friends (UNAA) in support of this March.

The event is a short 700mtr March down Adelaide Street to the sound of Pipes and Drums followed by Speeches in ANZAC Square afterwards with Refreshments and Morning Tea provided at no cost / donation. APPVA group to be lead by Mr Randall New (Assistant President QLD). Guest speaker APPVA - MAJ Peter Williams.

The "International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers" is "a day to pay tribute to all the men and women who have served and continue to serve in United Nations peacekeeping operations for their high level of professionalism, dedication, and courage and to honour the memory of those who have lost their lives in the cause of peace."

Saturday 28 May, ANZAC Square, Brisbane CBD from 10am

Join the marchers from King George Square leaving at 9.45am

UN Campaign Beret (if you have one) and Medals.
