Extension of the Defence Abuse Response Taskforce to 31 August 2016

The Taskforce’s Terms of Reference have been extended and the website has been updated, including with some other minor changes. The revised Terms of Reference can be accessed on the Taskforce’s website: www.defenceabusetaskforce.gov.au.

While the Taskforce cannot register any further complaints, there are other avenues available for those who wish to pursue a complaint. They include the Defence Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Office (for sexual misconduct complaints), the Inspector General of the ADF, the Defence Force Ombudsman and the Australian Human Rights Commission.

Further information about organisations that can provide assistance both within the military justice system and external to Defence can be found at www.defence.gov.au/mjs/Organisations.asp.
