Dear Members,

The APPVA will be marching in Geelong, Victoria on ANZAC Day this year. We have a large number of new Young Veterans and Peacekeeping Veterans in our region that have returned from a large range of Operations. Many from the Solomons and Timor Leste. We also have our members and it would be appreciated if you could pass this onto as many veterans as possible.

Form Up Place: 150 Malop Street, Geelong (Opposite Office Works).


0415 – Pre-Dawn Service – Johnstone Park.

0445 – Gun Fire Breakfast at Geelong RSL Sub-Branch Gold Coin donation. (50 Barwon Heads Road, Belmont).

0545 – Dawn Service at Torquay, Point Danger. APPVA Wreath Laying (Gordon Traill).

0545 – Dawn Service at Fort Queenscliff. APPVA Wreath Laying (Paul Copeland).

0930 - Wreath Laying at Geelong RSL Sub-Branch 50 Barwon Heads Road, Geelong (Gordon Traill).

1045h - form-up at the Peacekeepers/Peacemakers/Post 75 Conflicts and Defence Service.

1100 - March Off.

- Service at Johnston Park.

1200 - Drinks at Viet Nam Veterans’ Association Geelong SB, 51 Swinburne Street, North Geelong. Melway Ref: 442 A8 (If desired).

1200 - Drinks also at the Geelong RSL Sub-Branch with 2-UP, immediately after the march until 2200h. Bistro for Lunch and Dinner at reasonable prices.

I am hoping to see a wide range of young and Peacekeeper Veterans at our Regional ANZAC Day Commemorations. The more the merrier.
